Anyone familiar with, Vasistha? He was prior to Maharsi, and Nisargadatta... "To a suffering person, a night is an epoch. To a reveler, a night passes like a moment. In a dream, a moment is no different from an epoch. But to the sage, whose consciousness has overcome all limitations, there is no day or night. As one turns away from the notion of "I" and "the world," one finds liberation."

cool quote how does one turn away? Going beyond the mind is a well traveled path. Vasistha would share it like this... "The awareness of the infinite consciousness of itself is the mind. This itself is samsara and bondage which lead to psychic distress. When the infinite consciousness remains itself as if unaware of itself, that is moksa or liberation. "

"How does one ... ", asks popee.
I'd say, (but why, to try to make someone happy?) : just let it happen, and if it doesn't happen don't worry, just forget it, it doesn't matter a damn.

Agreed, it's just conversation. I mean, if there were any such thing as absolute truth, I'm not so sure there would be anything to claim it.
And, yes, I feel earnestness is of value.

there in no one to be liberated, thus there is no liberation because there in nothing to be liberated from since bondage is an illusion of mind.
awareness cannot be aware of itself as this would imply an observer and an observed, like one mirror trying to see itself by itself, just like consciousness cannot be conscious of being unconscious, hence it never dies because it was never born! thus form is a vehicle consciousness experiences/expresses itself through to enjoy its own being in which duality must play its roles for experience to happen.
simply in the words of RUSH-"All the world's indeed a stage, And we are merely players, Performers and portrayers, Each another's audience outside the gilded cage."

The real test is if one can go out into the world and live it, as no-thing and treat ALL with undiscriminating virtue or as a Bodhisattva working solely for every ones betterment. Its one thing to read something in a book that stands up to ones intellectual reasoning, its quite another to put it into practice in this world. To be in the world but not of it is ones greatest challenge, to play your part with no addiction/attachment to the role is not easy to do as long as there is someone doing it.

As long as there is "you" and an "I", there is no liberation. Dear ones, we are all cosmic consciousness assuming individual form.
