But take comfort! In the wise provision of the great Creation, as you awaken a path is also shown to you through that power of good volition to which I have already called special attention, and which mitigates or entirely pushes aside the dangers of the karma that is taking effect.
This, too, the Father's Spirit has given into your hands. The power of good volition forms a circle around you capable of disintegrating the evil pressing upon you, or at least of greatly modifying it, exactly as the atmosphere also protects the earth.
But the power of good volition, this strong protection, is fostered and nourished by the power of silence.
Therefore I once more urgently exhort you, seekers:
"Keep the hearth of your thoughts pure and then, above all, exercise the great power of silence if you wish to ascend."
The Father has already endowed you with the strength for everything! You have only to use it! ABD-RU-SHIN

The Power of Silence: I like that. Reminds me of Einstein's advice: "Keep your trap shut!"

The Power of Silence: I like that. Reminds me of Einstein's advice: "Keep your trap shut!" yeah, ok, I vote: True (though perhaps that doesn't jive well with the expansion and vibrancy of a discussion forum)

Transcending thought is infinitely more valuable than thinking. Maharishi Mahesh Yogi (1918 – 2008)
Some things are true whether you believe in them or not. Seth in the movie City of Angels (1998)
God and Godhead are as different from each other as heaven and earth … Creatures speak of God—but why do they not mention the Godhead? Because there is only unity in the Godhead and there is nothing to talk about. God acts. The Godhead does not. … The difference between God and the Godhead is the difference between action and non-action. Meister Eckhart (1260 – 1326)
Which is worth more, a crowd of thousands, or your own genuine solitude? Freedom, or power over an entire nation?
A little while alone in your room will prove more valuable than anything else that could ever be given you. Rumi (1207 – 1273)
The vast majority of human beings are born, live their entire lives, and die without knowing that they are in the state of ignorance! Not only do they not experience the true nature of the Self, they do not even know that such a possibility exists. Franklin Mason (1942 – )
There is no fire like passion No crime like hatred, No sorrow like separation, No sickness like hunger, And no joy like the joy of freedom. Buddha Dhammapada.
It is better to conquer yourself Than to win a thousand battles. Then the victory is yours. It cannot be taken from you, Not by angels or by demons, Heaven or hell. Buddha Dhammapada.
You are the source Of all purity and impurity. No one purifies another. Buddha Dhammapada.
Work out your own salvation. Do not depend on others. Buddha Dhammapada.
It is a man's own mind, not his enemy or foe, that lures him to evil ways. Buddha
Peace comes from within. Do not seek it without. Buddha
The greatest prayer is patience. Buddha

The past is to learn from, the present is to practice what you’ve learned so that in the future you won’t have to live in regrets of the past.
The universe is not punishing you for your wrong doing, its teaching you to love yourself.
Tao is not divided against its self, yin and yang are perfect compliments to bring about balanced perfection into harmony, one constantly pushing, the other allowing it to push until it surrenders into unity which brings about harmony.

Descartes had it backwards when he proclaimed "I think, therefore I am" as it is in truth; "I AM therefore I think!"
This single statement has lead humanity down a road of drunkenness (on thought) and delusion (believing them to be reality), as it ties ones identity to its thoughts, when in fact you are consciousness with an ability to think thoughts, thus you cannot be thoughts them self but are before them. Thoughts can go either for or against, yet truth is not divided.

There is no separation between you and Tao/God/Life/Truth, its not that there is no God/Tao/Life/or Truth!
The only thing that separates one from One is the belief in the thought of two.
When you see life through the eternal unified eye, One sees life playing the game of life continuously through the vehicle of death.
When one views the world with no filters, the vision becomes crystal clear. It is these filters which you install that severely limits your field of view.
Want to know what dies at death? Ask yourself who is asking this question!
If you ask a true sage what it was like to awaken, he will not reply, if he does he is still sleeping. If you need to ask this question, keep inquiring.

TAO The Doctrine is the doctrine of non-doctrine, The Practice is the practice of non-practice, The Method is meditation by non-meditation, And Cultivation which is cultivation by non-cultivation.
This is the Mind of non-mind, which is wu hsin, The Thought of non-thought, which is wu nien, The Action of non-action, which is wu wei, The Presence of the absence of volition, Which is Tao.
There is no mystery whatever - only inability to perceive the obvious
Humility, metaphysically, implies the absence of any entity to be either 'proud' or 'humble'.
As long as there is a 'you' doing or not-doing, thinking or not-thinking, 'meditating' or 'not-meditating' you are no closer to home than the day you were born.
Having found no self that is not other, The seeker must find that there is no other that is not self, So that in the absence of both other and self, There may be known the perfect peace, Of the presence of absolute absence.
'Nearer my tail to thee', the kitten remarked - as with a final desperate leap she overreached herself and fell head-over-heels into the pond.

"Those who spread ignorance and deception are always deceived themselves." "History is always rewritten by those in power, in an attempt to justify and consolidate its own advantage, thus political intrigue, empires based on deceit, and jealous power mongers feel threatened by truth (which empowers free men and hence a potential rival.) Keeping people dumb (which is the fault of the people kept dumb for lack of inquiry into truth) confused and subservient by external authority and control systems are thus one way of maintaining security by status quo elements who are afraid of losing advantage, who fear the people, the truth and are steeped in greed, attachment, jealousy, arrogance, conceit, contempt and love of power and control!" There is no becoming. ALL IS.
* * *
It is only the artificial ego that suffers. The man who has transcended his false 'me' no longer identifies with his suffering.
* * * We ourselves are not an illusory part of Reality; rather are we Reality itself illusorily conceived.

Ego? I'd say there is no ego. I'd say there is nothing but ego. We don't need this duality of ego and non-ego. Everything is ego, and everything is non-ego.
