"Silence; unspoken truth, experienced innately, inexpressible in words." "Silence; truth unspoken, innately experienced, in words, inexpressible."
In silence, I AM. Be still and know, I AM. Empty, ONE IS; Presence, Awareness. The ALL IS, Immanent Mind. Perfected Mind IS; Undifferentiated, Impartial, Indifferent, Unfragmented. Listen Now ALL who thirst; In Silent, Still, Empty Mind, ALL IS; Peaceful, Non-conflicting, Accepting, Nonjudgmental, Unattached to MY thoughts, ONE, thirst's no longer. Conjoining of Yin and Yang, Fulfillment, Tao, Spirit within ALL, Yet HE, not am I.

The whole effort of a Jesus or a Buddha or a Bodhidharma is nothing but how to undo that which society has done to you. ~~ Osho BAM! Now that is the simplest explanation of what all we've been discussing and writing on this site I have read yet! Awesome! Are you a societal robot, a slave to others ideas, concepts, beliefs, judgments, assumptions or simply yours or others "THOUGHTS"? Why not meditate, look within and get to know thyself? Why meditate? You do nothing in meditation, not even think, but let go and observe your thoughts and then you can see their arbitrary nature as they're only thoughts, harmless, thoughts nothing more. Also you focus on your breathing, why? Because it takes your attention (which is applied energy) off your thoughts (past or future thinking) and puts in reality or now! "Life is not lived in your thoughts, but through the eyes and ears, without judgment, in what you're presently doing, the immediate ten inches in front of your eyes the sounds you presently here around you NOW! Just experience it, feel it, accept it, dance to it, flow with it, sing, rejoice, bask in its beauty, in its imperfect perfectness, simply get out of your thoughts of how life "should be" or "should have been" and live it as it IS............ NOW! There are NO problems in reality, only ones nonacceptance of life as it is, was and going to be! Just drop all your preconceived thoughts of how life, others, the world, or yourself "should be" or "should or could or would" have been and jump into reality, the present moment of NOW as, all there ever is going to be is NnnnnOooooWwwwww... add infinity!!!!!!!!!!!!! A second ago is dead, and the future never is present now! If you don't like yourself or your life that you've chosen to live, the only person who can change it is YOU and the only time you'll ever have to change it is NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

there has never been "a second ago".

Ha ha, time someone disagreed here. You guys are lucky to see the present: the 'now'. I have never seen the now: only the past. Everything I see happened ages ago, sometimes billions of years. All I have is the past. Take away my memories of the past, and the way they have shaped my brain, and I could not say a word. And every word you read here was written ages ago.

I close my eyes, only for a moment, and the moment's gone All my dreams pass before my eyes, a curiosity Dust in the wind All they are is dust in the wind
Same old song, just a drop of water in an endless sea All we do crumbles to the ground though we refuse to see Dust in the wind All we are is dust in the wind Oh, ho, ho
Now, don't hang on, nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky It slips away, and all your money won't another minute buy Dust in the wind All we are is dust in the wind All we are is dust in the wind Dust in the wind Everything is dust in the wind Everything is dust in the wind The wind
Lyrics from the band Kansas-Dust in The Wind

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair,

Reflect on your present blessings, of which every man has many; not on your past misfortunes, of which all men have some. Charles Dickens
Minds, like bodies, will often fall into a pimpled, ill-conditioned state from mere excess of comfort. Charles Dickens
There is a passion for hunting something deeply implanted in the human breast. Charles Dickens

“The self-confidence of the warrior is not the self-confidence of the average man. The average man seeks certainty in the eyes of the onlooker and calls that self-confidence. The warrior seeks impeccability in his own eyes and calls that humbleness. The average man is hooked to his fellow men, while the warrior is hooked only to infinity.” Carlos Castaneda quote “The trick is in what one emphasizes. We either make ourselves miserable, or we make ourselves happy. The amount of work is the same.” hayleybrad Carlos Castaneda quote ““Nothing in this world is a gift. Whatever must be learned must be learned the hard way.”” Carlos Castaneda quote ““The internal dialogue is what grounds people in the daily world. The world is such and such or so and so, only because we talk to ourselves about its being such and such and so and so. The passageway into the world of shamans opens up after the warrior has learned to shut off his internal dialogue.”” Carlos Castaneda quote ““To be a warrior is not a simple matter of wishing to be one. It is rather an endless struggle that will go on to the very last moment of our lives. Nobody is born a warrior, in exactly the same way that nobody is born an average man. We make ourselves into one or the other.”” Carlos Castaneda quote ““Only as a warrior can one withstand the path of knowledge. A warrior cannot complain or regret anything. His life is an endless challenge, and challenges cannot possibly be good or bad. Challenges are simply challenges.”” Carlos Castaneda quote

"What need has one for the approval of the divided?"
"Needing acceptance from others is the result of not accepting yourself, as long as one lives in this needy mental state, one remains a prisoner to it."
"If one believes that outside circumstances control their emotions, then they always will."
"If you care not for what's on the TV screen, you hold all the power to turn it off or change it, your thoughts on the screen of your mind are no different, simply remember that the remote control you've been searching for is already within you."

You become that which you think you are. Or, it is not that you become it, but that the idea gets very deeply rooted - and that's what all conditioning is.
Enlightenment is the understanding that this is all, that this is perfect, that this is it. Enlightenment is not an achievement, it is an understanding that there is nothing to achieve, nowhere to go. Yes, when you see for the first time, a great laughter arises in you - the laughter about the whole ridiculousness of your misery, the laughter about the whole foolishness of your problems, the laughter about the whole absurdity of your suffering.
The moment you enter into the world of words you start falling away from that which is. The more you enter into language, the farther you are away from existence.
Don't seek, don't search, don't ask, don't knock, don't demand - relax. If you relax, it comes. If you relax, it is there. If you relax, you start vibrating with it.
OSHO

Unless you drop your personality you will not be able to find your individuality. Individuality is given by existence; personality is imposed by the society. Personality is social convenience. Society cannot tolerate individuality, because individuality will not follow like a sheep. Individuality has the quality of the lion; the lion moves alone. The sheep are always in the crowd, hoping that being in the crowd will feel cozy. Being in the crowd one feels more protected, secure. If somebody attacks, there is every possibility in a crowd to save yourself. But alone? - only the lions move alone. And every one of you is born a lion, but the society goes on conditioning you, programming your mind as a sheep. It gives you a personality, a cozy personality, nice, very convenient, very obedient. Society wants slaves, not people who are absolutely dedicated to freedom. Society wants slaves because all the vested interests want obedience.
Osho

Democracy passes into despotism. -Plato The people have always some champion whom they set over them and nurse into greatness. ...This and no other is the root from which a tyrant springs; when he first appears he is a protector. -Plato When the tyrant has disposed of foreign enemies by conquest or treaty, and there is nothing to fear from them, then he is always stirring up some war or other, in order that the people may require a leader. -Plato No human thing is of serious importance.-Plato You must contrive for your future rulers another and a better life than that of a ruler, and then you may have a well-ordered State; for only in the State which offers this, will they rule who are truly rich, not in silver and gold, but in virtue and wisdom, which are the true blessings of life.-Plato The law will never make men free; it is men who have got to make the law free. Thoreau The fate of the country does not depend on how you vote at the polls — the worst man is as strong as the best at that game; it does not depend on what kind of paper you drop into the ballot-box once a year, but on what kind of man you drop from your chamber into the street every morning. Thoreau Disobedience is the true foundation of liberty. The obedient must be slaves. Thoreau Any fool can make a rule And any fool will mind it. Thoreau
