The old adage, 'the love of money is the root of all evil' is true.
Societies likely need some form of "money" to facilitate the exchange of labor for goods, but man's greedy tendencies always seems to gum up the works. As long as "selfishness" is the hindering headwind, there are going to be "issues".

I think that there are more people awakening then we know as the media is owned by the corporate elite thus you are only told what their spoon feeding you (what they want you to hear) That is one advantage technology has given us the small guys....knowledge rapidly! I have become very aware of the realities of the world in a relatively short time compared to the old days of little fear based communication of having to travel great distances to tell someone else the truth so to speak.Due to the compound effects of rapid transformation of information the world is becoming aware as a whole of the control institutions hold over it i.e. occupy wall street for a small example. Example of compound effect of information would be, I do 40 years of research on the history of America, th world, the power elite and such. I write my conclusions in a book that is now 40 years old. Someone young reads my book and is inspired to know the truth does another 40 years of research and writes their conclusions and now send it across the Internet to millions who read it. Those younger millions know have 80 years of research at their finger tips, can look at the present state of the world and instead of doing 40 years trying to figure out why, which has already been done, they can use their time, imagination and creativity to implement ways to change the present long lasting system into something that benefits the whole and not the separate. And there are many, many people working on this, especially the youth of today. I don't think I will see the great changes take effect, but my own kids might and they already know that the current system is absurd and needs radical transformation. Its coming its just question of when, and how hard does the drug addict have to hit bottom before he becomes aware of and ADMITS, ACCEPTS AND CHOOSES TO STOP HIS ADDICTION!

no no no popee, money is not the root of all evil!!!! MANS MIND IS! What dollar THOUGHT to steal? Man needs an inner transformation of his consciousness, money is just a product of man's ability to think! That is the whole problem, the world only looks at RESULTS and not the CAUSE, because it wants not to face the truth that it created its own damn mess! Money is neutral, its mans thoughts that corrupt it! Have you read Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand? She explained the whole problem many years ago.

There is only one "enemy" ... self ish ness
Governments .. bad? .. but they only people, doing their work. Corporations ... bad? .. same thing.
Resolve the selfishness issue, on a case by case basis, and everything else will effortlessly fall into place.

Robbery, theft and murder have been the natural history of most predatory species. Leopards will exterminate cheetahs who prey on "their" lands. There are many such territorial species. Plants too need their own piece of land, and they try to push aside their neighbours.
Robbery of this sort is natural, you aren't going to get rid of it so easily. All revolutions against oppression (e.g. the French and Russian revolutions) merely replace robbers with other robbers. They can serve no purpose, only producing even more misery and oppression.
Yet there are signs of a mind-shift, as shown by the break-up of the tyrannical Soviet empire and the elimination of apartheid in South Africa. Notice these were relatively bloodless (if we compare say the excesses of the French Revolution and the Reign of Terror which followed it.)

Fear is thought, a result of believing that: 1. Your only the body and nothing else If you knew you were eternal what would you fear?
Test: If you are your body then stop your lungs from working. Stop your food from digesting. Stop your hair from growing. Stop your eyes from seeing. Stop your organs from functioning. Stop your ears from hearing. Stop your brain from thinking.
The priests say your soul goes to heaven/hell when you die and your body goes in the ground, but they never tell you where "YOU" go! Why? Who is this "YOU"?

I tried to read it, I couldn't get into it. I just watched the movie though. That really kinda sucked. Read, The Road to Serfdom, by Hayek Funny, I tried to read that and I couldn't get into it. Funny how our minds perceive things and how the same thing can be perceived one way by one person and another way by another. Could this be the very cause of all conflicts, the mere "belief" that ONLY my way, my beliefs are the absolute truth? Hummmm...I wonder? Why is that? Is there only one truth? I mean what is the absolute truth of why I didn't get into Road to Serfdom but you did and why you didn't get into Atlas Shrugged but I did? Now, going yet deeper, if I believe and am willing to die for my beliefs that Atlas Shrugged is the only truth and that Road to Serfdom is from the devil, labeled as heresy, and all those who believe this are infidels, just the devils products and should die, does this not sound like all the religious wars man has been fighting for thousands of years? Humm...beliefs...thoughts.....could they themselves be the cause for all of man's suffering? I was asked once if I would die for my beliefs and to the believers amazement I replied: "hell no, I might be wrong!" hehe

Why do you think Jesus said; "Forgive them father, for they know not what they do." 1. They did what they did out of fear, the loss of "their" power over those they controlled as Jesus was setting everyone free to find there own truths, as all realized beings do. 2. The were ignorant that they were only killing the body and not the consciousness within it. Jesus already spoke into existence that which would raise the level of consciousness ten fold before he died. He gave the concepts of unconditional love, forgiveness, understanding, compassion, kindness, inquiry and fearlessness to humanity in his words and actions which preceded from his mind (consciousness) thus the term Christ Consciousness is when one is in this highest levels of consciousness which is man's highest evolution of his being in which every person has the ability (Buddha Nature) to do it. Buddha, Lao Tzu, Chuang Tzu, Confucius, Osho, Anthony DeMello, Vernon Howard, St. John of the Cross, Emanuel Kant etc. all high levels of consciousness, some higher than others. 3. He spoke in parables so those who had a high degree of awareness (consciousness) would hear his message and become shepherds to the flock and help set them free from both their own ignorant thoughts, and that of those who were trying to control them which were the pharisees which is the churches of today. A true master wants no followers but only acts as a bridge to the other side which is the disciples path to find their own truth. He is only a guide, not controller as he KNOWS he can't do it for you, only you can.

Not sure. I have a strong bias towards Austrian economics, as opposed to Keynesianism, that likely has something to do with it.
Free markets? Ha! Governments and central planners don't seem to like letting the market determine the winners and losers, so we're getting some form of bureaucratic fascism. For now. Eventually their efforts will fail. If you don't hold some gold, I'd consider getting some.

Back to my word of the day: Inconsistencies
Hehehe. How does any of that fit in with enlightenment. lol
