Bananas 22i Heels 22j Rounded2 22L Draped Loops 22L Lassoo Comments: These pictures depict collections of solid (3D) mathematically defined shapes. For instance, the shapes in "Lassoo" are generated by the formulae nx = x*x* Abs(x) - y*y - z*z + xad ny = y*y - Abs(z) * 2 + yad nz = z*z - Abs(x) * 2 + zad x = nx + 1.3 : y = ny + 1.3 : z = nz + 1.3 where x, y, z are the co-ordinates of the points in the solid. That's a rough description of the process: it would need more elaboration to be properly understandable.

Currently I am drawing these pictures at the rate of about one per day. The most complete collection of my recent pictures may be seen at DietExperiments.yolasite.com , page "Fractals 2012", which is kept up-to-date on a weekly basis.

The pictures are interesting as there is much the mind can make out of them but I have not a clue as to how they're made? haha

I don't understand myself how these equations (which I try out more or less just at random) can produce all these shapes!
That 's what fascinates me - I don't know what to expect from an idea for an equation, and I can't wait to see what it will produce!
